Absolutely amazing
I did a bunch of research and found that outside of a really expensive commercial machine Woodland Mills had a very competitive machine. I found that it’s hard to find one with a hydraulic feed wheel. Wood chippers are naturally terrifying. The hydraulic wheel allows me to operate the hydraulics from a safe place and if I need to I can reverse the wheel and get the log OUT without any risk. I found the delivery and purchase process seem less. I live in Alberta and it was delivered in under a week to my door from Ontario. Assembly was easy and the manual was superb. Customer service was bang on. I’ve had this machine since March 2026. It punches well above its weight class. I have used it on a 1946 Ford 2N and a 2024 John Deere 3025D both machines are 25 HP and this thing performs like a champ. Easily cuts 6” logs as advertised. I was helping my parents shred some green trees and the discharge chute got clogged and the hydraulic belt overheated and caught fire. After I put the fire out I inspected everything and tightened up things and I’ve had no problems since. I bought the cover and the maintenance kit which is recommend. Look, you can’t go wrong. This is Canadian built and it’s solid. Having a wood chipper has eliminated me needing to have bon fires (as we all know isn’t ideal with fire risks as they have been in the last few years) and I’ve used the wood chips for a trail which I like because it’s making better use of the wood and better for the environment. I will say that the TF68 is like 1000 lbs so the only thing I’d say is make sure your tractor can handle that weight on the three point hitch. Great value, work fantastic on the old and new tractor at 25 HP, so I can only imagine what this thing could do if you had this on a 40 or 50 HP machine. I’d buy other equipment from Woodland Mills. I’m really happy.
